Pistachio Nuts May Improve Erectile Dysfunction

Here’s one more reason why men should switch to pistachio nuts. Pistachio diet improves erectile function parameters and serum lipid profiles in patients with erectile dysfunction, suggests studies. 
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a sexual dysfunction where the patient is unable to develop or maintain an erection of the penis during sexual performance. The causes of ED are many. Diabetes, hypertension, high serum cholesterol level, peripheral vascular disease and cardiac problems are found to have significant association with ED. Pistachio nuts are rich sources of plant proteins, dietary fibers and especially antioxidant substances. Previous studies have established the cardio-protective effects of pistachio. Pistachio is rich with unsaturated fatty acids and has low amount of saturated fatty acids.
