Many people are opting to wait until they reach the age of 40 to
settle down, finds a new study.According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics data, Aussies marrying
in their early 20s has halved in the last 20 years, with 1 in 10 women
and 12 percent men marrying in their 40s, News.com.au reported. Relationships Australia rep Kylie Dunjey said that a lot of people are
in long-term relationships, living together under the same roof, and
choosing to make a final commitment of marriage further down the track. The spokeswoman asserted that people, especially those who come from
divorced parents, are waiting longer to get married because they want to
be certain of their partner. Dunjey added that many young couples also wanted to buy a home and save up for the wedding before marrying.
