Regular Practice of Ejaculation May Reduce Risk of Prostate Cancer

Men can reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer by daily ejaculation, revealed a new study.

Experts at the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women Hospital have conducted a study on male participants who were observed for several years. They found that if a man ejaculates at least once a day, the chances of exposure to prostate cancer are very low.

The study showed that men who ejaculated more than 21 times a month had a 22 percent lower risk of getting the disease.

Jennifer Rider of Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital, said, "While these data are the most compelling to date on the potential benefit of ejaculation on prostate cancer development, they are observational data and should be interpreted somewhat cautiously. At the same time, given the lack of modifiable risk factors for prostate cancer, the results of this study are particularly encouraging."
