Importance of Higher studies in Ayurveda

Higher studies is necessary to broaden the field and vision in any stream,also in Ayurveda. In mindset of young Ayurvedic graduates common question arises that what is the importance of doing Post graduation.? Only teaching or anything else!Acharya Susruta great scholar of Ayurveda explained Importance of higher education,as it enhances the presentation skill in terms of explanation,expression and self confidence over  the subject and ultimately leads to command and boldness in clinical practice.This difference is also seen in the working field. Up-gradation of knowledge is essential part of education and it is necessary in Ayurvedic field also.We saw the practitioner working in Ayurvedic field are least interested towards opening their brain channel.Some scholars looks like they have firmly decided that will not open their window for rest of the world.I have seen such peoples working in our community who has forgotten the basic principles of Ayurveda. My ruthless writing hurts to such peoples but the truth should not be hidden by clouds of lie.Yes its true that higher studies in Ayurveda has loosen their standard.Except some institute of National level,other institutes are only doing their professional business in this field.But this will not deteriorate the importance of higher education.Another important aspect of higher studies we forget is clinical research.In western world a single salt will came after vigorous clinical trial of years.But what is the level our clinical research.Our clinical research part is lagging from western world in Modern medicine as well as in Ayurveda.Poor standard of research work has not able to compete ourselves in scientific world.Its dam truth that Ayurvedic Medicines and procedures has time tested and practiced from thousand of years.But only saying this will not prove us.Some Ayurvedic graduates are now working in the Clinical research field,but they are  also limiting themselves in Modern Medicine,probably due to good package and exposure.Another important thing is that our Post-graduates  are not treated as specialized.So only option with them is teaching.Teaching Ayurvedic graduates has not satisfied to some buddies because they want to be a doctor.So standardization with more scope and good emoluments is necessary after higher education in Ayurveda.
