Praising Ayurveda, Chhattisgarh governor Shekhar Dutt said here the traditional practice of this discipline of medicine should be taken forward to treat numerous diseases.
"It is our heritage which has been left by our forefathers and we should not only polish and utilize it but should also create a certain new molecule(new medicine) to add into it," he said.
"Our ancestors have done there bit, now it's our responsibility to put our hard work together and play a part in developing this mode of treatment", he said at a seminar organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce(ICC) to promote Ayurveda treatmenton Saturday.
R S Mooshahary, Governor of Meghalaya, Shekhar Dutt, Governor of Chhattisgarh and Jayanta Roy, President of ICC Jayanta Roy, were present at the event.
Associate Vice President of Emami, Pawan Kumar Sharma mentioned about the educational prospectus of Ayurveda in India.
