Common Salt and How Much of It is Healthy

Amid all the debate and confusion on how much is too much salt, we have some news which may serve to clear the air. 
Even if we are not shaking extra salt on our plate of food, we do get enough of it from processed foods, say experts.
Consuming too much salt is one of the major causes of high blood pressure and a host of other problems. 
According to The American Heart Association, salt intake is to be restricted to 1,500 milligrams per day and this is much less than one teaspoon of table salt.
