A nuclear physics researcher from Andhra University observed that increase in the levels of copper and zinc are prevalent in cancer cases.He conducted a study on brain tumors and observed the variation in levels of the two elements.Researcher G.S. Bapiraju focused his study on increasing cases of brain cancers and the reasons behind the ailment.He observed that the ratio of elements such as copper and zinc are increasing in most brain tumor cases.He also found the same trend in breast and throat cancer cases, but a reverse trend in thyroid cases, according to the researcher.Tumors necessitate more oxygen for their growth. When samples of both normal and malignant tissues were analysed, the researcher found that copper has been providing more oxygen to the tissues for their abnormal growth. If these elemental imbalances are diagnosed much before their advancement, the cancer can easily be prevented or treated, he said.“Ayurveda can treat these type of ailments effectively since the treatment basically relies on elements. I have observed that ancient practitioners of this medicinal system have profound knowledge of elemental imbalance, but unfortunately lack authenticity like other systems,” he added.
