Baby Yoga is slowly gaining popularity in Russia and neighboring countries even as many parents across the globe are shocked over the procedure and are far from certain that it is safe for the children. Lena Fokina, a 50-year old Russian living in Egypt, is widely regarded as the baby yoga guru and while many believe that the baby in her hand was not real, Fokina begs to differ and went on to claim that such a practice is beneficial for the babies.Baby Yoga involves holding the baby by its legs or arms and tossing it up and down and twisting them side by side. While there is a general perception that such a practice will harm the baby, Fokina said that the babies which have undergone it are some of the early readers, swimmers and are generally more physically developed than other children of the same age group.
