The Indian Government is offering 20 scholarships to Malaysians who want to pursue traditional medicine.This follows the visit of Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in October last year.“The High Commission welcomes applications from interested Malaysians who wish to pursue courses on traditional system of medicine,” the Indian High Commission said in a statement yesterday.“The High Commission welcomes applications from interested Malaysians who wish to pursue courses on traditional system of medicine,” the Indian High Commission said in a statement yesterday.The scholarships will be offered for studies in selected colleges.Application forms are available at the Education Section of the Indian High Commission here.Candidates should check their eligibility for the course they wish to pursue, should be proficient in English and should not have any serious health problems.The scholarships do not include air travel but provides tuition fees, living allowances, contingency grants, house rental allowance and medical benefits.The closing date is Feb 21.
