BHU vice-chancellor DP Singh inaugurated the extension unit of the University Students Health Services Complex under the extension programme of Sir Sunder Lal (SSL) hospital on Wednesday. Inaugurating the pathological lab, dental and homoeopathy clinic at the complex, BHU V-C said the university would strive to promote ayurveda and naturopathy in the 150th birth anniversary celebration year of Pt Madan Mohan Malviya, the founder of the university. He also stressed on the need for stress management and meditation centre for students at the complex.
A number of senior staff members including rector BD Singh, director, Institute of Medical Science (IMS), TM Mohapatra and medical superintendent, SSL hospital, Anand Kumar were also present. BHU Alumni Meet: The two-day BHU alumni meet would be organised at the university on December 24 and 25.
As per varsity spokesperson, the meet would also witness a seminar on higher education, sustainable development, emerging challenges and Mahamana's vision as December 25 would be celebrated as Sustainability Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pt Madan Mohan Malviya, founder of the university. The programme would also witness presentation of distinguished alumnus award and special exhibition on development of various faculties, marking the 150th year birth anniversary celebrations of Malviyaji.
BHU chancellor Karn Singh would be the chief guest of the inaugural function.
